Miss Candyfloss Estrid-Kat SS2020
I'm sure all of you have heard of Miss Candyfloss!
If you haven't well you are truly missing out and you should definitely go follow them. Like right now!
Their delightful new collection Pour Toi { For You } is simply divine, and I was lucky enough to review the Estrid-Kat Dress, which had me bubbling with excitement.
For those of you that don't know the brand was established in 2009 by sisters Adele and Noemi. Both sisters had an admiration for the 1940's and 1950's but still wanted to include a twist of the 21st century's modern woman. Miss Candyfloss prides themselves on creating gorgeous garments that are not mass produced. A long term goal of the company is to create garments that are worn by mothers and passed down to their daughters. All Miss Candyfloss garments are manufactured in Europe, Transylvania complying with ethical standards.

Inspiration Behind The Collection
"The theme for the new SS2020 Miss Candyfloss Collection was inspired by “The Stepford Wives” movie, starring classy ladies like Nicole Kidman, Bette Midler and Glen Close.
The clothes in this movie are absolutely to die for.
Amazing floral prints, swing skirts, figure hugging wiggle dresses and capri pants.
So many beautifully crafted dresses, perfect for those lovely summer days of tee parties and book clubs.
With this in mind we designed our wonderful Spring-Summer collection named Pour Toi { For You }
It’s all about pampering yourself in sassy and classy dresses, blouses, skirts and empowering elegant pantsuits.
Functional everyday wear for today’s amazing women around the globe."
Estrid-Kat
This super stunning 1940's inspired day dress was the first piece to catch my eye. I knew I had to have it on my body straight away. Not only is the colour and fabric to die for but the cut and shape would suit my body type perfectly.
In saying that it is actually a very versatile dress for many body types.
Made in Transylvania from an exquisite light weight embroidered fabric without any stretch.

Although this little number is part of their Spring-Summer Collection, I was still able to create some super stunning looks that coincide with our current Australian Autumn which makes this dress super versatile and something you could wear all year round. I loved teaming it with reds and burgundy, vintage hats and gloves and of course my favourite Charlie Stone heels, which are available in my store. In the warmer months I plan on accessorizing with yellow and pink. Unfortunately due to the Corona Virus I had to create this blog backwards, so Estrid-Kat has already been released and is now nearly SOLD OUT!
But I still have a couple left in my store so don't delay any longer if you have been eyeing her off.

The product description is mirrored in the product itself, the fabric is very light weight and I would highly suggest a petticoat to be worn underneath as it is not lined. The super sweet embroidered flowers create depth and detail in the dress and the bodice and waist accentuate your curves resembling that vintage silhouette we are all dying to have.
I've had so many comments about how authentic it looks and I completely agree, the cut and style is also suitable for a range of body types which is a huge plus. There is also some beautiful pleating throughout the dress which falls into place once you put her on, especially around the waist.

Miss Candyfloss never fails to disappoint and I'm planning to wear her again to my next event. I really did feel like a Stepford wife and I'm a massive fan of this collection. So many beautiful prints and styles there will surely be something that will take your fancy. I also have every intention of keeping this dress and passing her down to my daughters in the future. It truly is timeless!
