    Belle Poque Collaboration

    Belle Poque Collaboration

Earlier this month I was contacted by the fabulous team at Belle Poque. Belle Poque was created in 2015 and is an independent brand recreating vintage inspired clothing. They aim to provide customers with high quality garments at competitive prices with excellent customer service.

    https://www.bellepoque.com/

I was lucky enough to receive two items in my package. The first and my absolute favourite was the Women's Cherry Cropped Cardigan.

Made from 55%Viscose+40%Polyamide+5%Spandex giving a nice amount of stretch, with 3/4 sleeves and covered in delightful embroided cherries.

Perfect to layer in the cooler months and your go to in the warmer months to pin over your shoulders. Now you all know me and how much I love 1950's diners, so it was only fitting to take this little cutie to Happy Days Donuts for a milkshake with Brookleigh Photography and my Care Bear of course!

The second item I received was the 1950's Vintage Sleeveless V-Neck Flared A-Line Dress. Which is a very versatile black dress featuring a vibrant floral swan print along the hemline.

Made from 95%Cotton+5%Spandex with a nice amount of stretch, matching removable belt and a ruched bust to give you a very flattering shape and if your like me and you have a small bust this is perfect for you.

I felt extremely comfortable in this dress and I was happy with the fit, plus coming with a matching belt made my heart sing. I would not wear a petticoat under this as it is an A-Line dress, but you can certainly mix and match different coloured accessories depending on your mood. I chose a pop of yellow on this occasion teamed with my New York Luxe Charlie Stone heels.

After taking these babies for a spin I was really happy with the style, fit and quality for the price. I received my package very quickly and the team at Belle Poque were fabulous. They do have some super cute combos currently in their online store, so go and check them out.

    Poodle Sisters!

    Poodle Sisters!

What a year it has been here at Cherry HQ!

So many exciting things have happened and so many amazing opportunities have have presented themselves. The pinup community is a super supportive hub of dolls from all over the world, all sharing a love of vintage and 50's inspired wares. Being part of this community and providing pinups with gorgeous products and excellent customer service, has been a huge goal of mine since I started my little business 2.5 years ago.

This year I wanted to give back to my fabulous customers, and to also show them support in their pinup journeys.

So Cherry Doll was created. Cherry Doll is a monthly celebration of one chosen customer that loves all things Cherry La Blaze. I created a series of questions to answer to allow myself and the pinup community to get to know the selected Cherry doll. I created a Blog Post for my website and featured the chosen doll on all of my social media accounts. I have loved every minute of it and each month I would get super excited to release the new Cherry Doll to the world.

As the end of the year is fast approaching I wanted to do one last feature, however instead of focusing on one lovely lady, there are a group of women that I wanted to share with you all.

Also now known as my Poodle Sisters, these beautiful women were my promo models for a custom made 50's Poodle Skirt which is now available in store.

Generally I model my products myself if I have no photos, but I wanted to do something different and involve other pinups. I did a model call and the response was so overwhelming it was so hard to choose. My aim was to be as diverse as possible and to show the public that this skirt looks adorable on women of all shapes and sizes.

With the help of photographer extraordinaire Brookleigh Photography and the super kitsch venue Happy Days Donuts we nailed it!

My vision had come to life and that wouldn't have been possible without these lovely ladies. Once released this adorable skirt sold out in a few sizes straight away! Restock is on it's way!

I truly believe it was because of this gorgeous campaign we all created together that excited the public and my customers. They could see how fabulous it was on real women of all shapes and sizes, which is so important.

So without further ado here are my final Cherry Dolls for 2019!

Next year I will be shaking things up and Cherry Doll will be changing in a more exciting way, so stay tuned for my announcement over the next couple of months.

A huge thank you to everyone involved, You all brought your own style and personality to the campaign and I couldn't of asked for a better group of people to work with.

    It's All About Kova Kiss!

    It's All About Kova Kiss!

The Pretty in Pink Dress by Kova Kiss will definitely brighten your day!

Designed in Atlanta, Georgia by Gabriela Kova a stunning lady wanting to make sustainable, stylish and affordable fashion. The whole collection has a stunning nostalgic vibe and I was lucky enough to receive the super cute Pretty in Pink Dress which oozes 60's mod. It's cut to the thigh and has just the right amount of wiggle.

    https://www.kovakiss.co/product-page/pretty-in-pink

Besides being made from a delicious bubble gum pink, the outer layer is made out of 100% cotton and the lining is made from shiny polyester. I ordered the size 2 which fitted me very well from the waist up, it was a little loose around the legs but that is not reflected on the design but rather my body type. There is a very clear size chart on the website which ranges from a 0-12 and has measurements listed accordingly.

This little number has no sleeves, a fitted bodice with a bow detail, hidden zip and is made to such high quality that I would highly recommend!

Something I really love about this dress is that you can change the style and mix it up. For example you could keep it feminine and accessorize with pretty hair flowers and a sweet cardigan or you can add a rockabilly edge like me. I do love to mix up my styling so I teamed it with a leather jacket, polka dot tights and red accessories which is definitely a look that I will wear again.

This delightful dress came in it's own bag and was wrapped nicely. All conversations with Gabriela were so easy and I truly felt like we were friends that had worked together before. Being a small business owner myself providing excellent customer service is one of my main goals. So it warmed my heart that Kova Kiss represented similar values.

Shipment from the U.S was very quick so there is no waiting too long for your little touch of paradise. I would highly recommend checking out this amazing small business and not just this dress but the whole collection. This dress was originally $200 but is now on SALE so don't miss out!

Thank you so much Gabriela and the team at Kova Kiss!

I look forward to working with you again soon.

    DRESSLILY COLLABORATION

    DRESSLILY COLLABORATION

I was recently contacted by Dresslily to not only try some of their super cute 50's inspired dresses but to also do a live review on their Face Book page!

I jumped at the opportunity straight away because they really do have some adorable vintage inspired items that won't break your budget and because I love trying new things and going live is something I have never done.

So after a few issues with my kiddies and some technical updates we are now set for the live review later this week. I will be announcing the day and time in the next couple of days so stay tuned and make sure you are following the Dresslily Face Book page below.

    https://www.facebook.com/Dresslily/

I was lucky enough to receive four different vintage inspired dresses, one being classic 50's, rockabilly/diner style, tiki and a floral piece for the cooler months. I wanted to show the wide variety of styles that are available from Dresslily. I have to admit I do have a favourite! Which is the Retro Gingham Bow Knot Flare Dress pictured below which screams classic 50's housewife. However all in all I do love every one of them for different reasons which I will go into more depth in the live review.

If you are a pinup on a budget and you are looking for some vintage inspired dresses then I recommend giving this brand a go. I was really happy with all of the dresses I received, they were all stretchy and super comfy and would love to try some of their themed dresses too.
