Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth With The sugar Rush Collection

Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth With The sugar Rush Collection

I can't tell you how excited I am to be one of the first stockists of the new ready made collection from vintage reproduction extraordinaire Sarsparilly!

The Sugar Rush Collection is officially live and available for pre-order and it is to die for. You can now pay 50% off the full price and then the remaining amount when your order arrives in early March.

Not only are the designs delightful but the prints are absolutely scrumptious. The name speaks for itself and is made up of 25 separate pieces that can be mixed and matched with each other. If you love pastels you will fall in love with every item. The range is made up of three base colours which are pink, yellow or blue. In true Sarparilly style there are also some amazing novelty prints that are reminiscent of Maria's childhood such as ice-cream trucks and ice-cream parties.

Every single design is flattering to the female figure and with the extensive size range of XXS - 5XL the entire range suits petite to plus size. Super durable and made from high quality fabric each garment is so comfortable and will be sure to last you a lifetime.

Of course I organized a huge collaboration to celebrate the release and I was lucky enough to model some of the collection myself. I love collaborating and helping other like minded individuals build their business. So I called upon my insanely talented bestie Mrs Penny who has just launched her new and exciting business to be the photographer. We have so much fun together and I knew when I saw the range that this would be perfect for her.

Check out her Face Book page

    And her Instagram account

We also were lucky enough to have access to Pearl.

A 57 Chev that is every car enthusiasts dream. Owner Wendy allowed us to cruise around town and for me to lie all over her pride and joy which made me feel like I was truly back in the 50's.

Check her out and Pearl on Face Book here

We are super excited to share the images with you and I also attached the Stockist Spotlight from the Sarsparilly website which is about me and my store so you can have a read of that too.

I also have to thank Maria for allowing me to model her new range, Hailey { Mrs Penny } for taking these amazing images in 38 degrees and to Wendy for allowing us to enjoy Pearl and for being so kind and helpful on the day.

I couldn't have pulled it off without any of you and I hope we can work together again soon.

    Stockist Spotlight

We are so excited to be introducing our new Stockists for our Sugar Rush range.  This is the first time we have had stockists for any of our clothing and we are pumped!

The first shop we'd like to spotlight is a lovely online store based in Victoria, Australia and run by pinup Queen, Lea (A.K.A. Cherry La Blaze herself!).  We asked her some questions so you could all get to know her.

Tell us about Cherry La Blaze, where are you located and how did you start?

Cherry La Blaze Vintage and Rockabilly started in March 2017. It is an online based store that I run from home from King Lake Victoria which is above the Yarra Valley. My hubby and I sold our previous business and he said to me stuff it follow your dream and do what you have always wanted to. So I did!

Tell us about your team, we want to know you :)

My team consists of me, myself and I on a daily basis. I run my website, pack orders, do all my advertising and promotional work and ordering for my website. I'm also really passionate about and love pinup/vintage modeling and love collaborating with other enthusiasts to promote my brand and theirs. I also have a pop up shop that I take to vintage and rockabilly festivals which involves the whole family. Hubby drives the bus and the kids help set up, its definitely a team effort.

What is the best thing about owning your own store?

There are so many things! I love the freedom and creativity it provides me.  It allows me to push myself professionally and creatively.  It makes me want to succeed more.  I learnt more in the last year than I ever have.  I have formed so many amazing relationships.  I love that it allows me to collaborate.  And it has provided me with exciting opportunities.

What sort of things can we find at Cherry La Blaze?

You can find everything 50's inspired at Cherry La Blaze. I like to think or I'm trying to provide unique labels instead of the typical pinup brands. I'm extremely passionate about supporting Aussie businesses, so I try to stock as many of those as I can. We have everything from dresses, shoes, swimwear, bags, brooches, kids clothing and cute kitschy gifts and vintage styling tools.

What is your favourite piece from the Sugar Rush Collection?

I'm a sucker for a cardigan and the Dorothy Knit is to die for, but I also LOVE the Bonnie Dress and all the prints are just delicious. I can't choose one LOL!!

    Favourite Candy?

I love old classics like Redskins, Toffee Apples, Sherbet Bombs and Mates. Anything chewy and sticky!

    Cherry's Online Charity Raffle!

This Charity Raffle is every pinups dream come true!

This raffle was created in collaboration with some extremely well know Aussie small businesses that trade online. These include Sarsparilly, Lana-Rose Fashion, Martinis and Slippers and Bonsai Kitten just to name a few. I really wanted to help promote other businesses like my own and I wanted the vouchers and prizes to be accessible to ticket holders both nationally and internationally.

I'm lucky enough to be competing in Pinup Doll Australia in October this year and part of our journey is to raise money for a charity of our choice. I have chosen to raise money for RizeUp Australia, which is an organization that directly helps survivors of Domestic Violence. So all of the proceeds will go directly to RizeUp to help them to continue their work by providing survivors with emergency accommodation, furniture, white goods, clothing, food vouchers and all the basic necessities a survivor needs to start over.

Tickets will go on sale from the 26th of July until the 24th of October with one lucky winner to be announced on the 25th. The tickets will cost $10 each or 3 for $25. Boxing For Charity!

    Boxing For Charity!

I have recently got back into my training after some medical conditions that have left me unable to do too much. I was diagnosed with congenital fusion of two vertebrae and a bulging disc, Nocturia a bladder condition, PTSD and severe anxiety brought on by an emotionally and physiologically relationship from many years ago. As well as having three kids and running two businesses it's safe to say I was exhausted.

Fitness has always been a passion of mine so I knew I wanted to get back into it but I also knew I had to do something different that didn't involve too much weight training. I began practicing Ashtanga a form of Yoga which was amazing and it really did wonders for my breathing, strength and flexibility. I then heard that the local gym had reopened so I went and checked it out. Hilltop fitness is run by local husband and wife duo Ricky and Teagan who also have two beautiful girls, these guys are amazing, extremely supportive and have brought life back to the mountain.

I noticed there was a boxing class so I thought why not have a go as it's way out of my comfort zone and as my health was improving I really wanted to challenge myself. I was so uncoordinated in my first class, I was terrible at holding the pads and I remember thinking " I'm going to die". But I pushed through and I had so much fun that I couldn't wait until the next class. Kelly the boxing instructor is like no other, she is fun, energetic, super fierce and inspiring to other women and she has really pushed me both physically and mentally although she might not know it!

I really wanted to not only raise money but do it in a way that empowers people and to also base it around my passions, so that's when Boxing For Charity was created!

Raising money for charity as a part of my Pinup Doll Australia journey is such an honor and something I'm really excited about. I really wanted to raise money for people affected by domestic violence, it's something that affects so many and I feel needs so much more attention and funds than it receives. After chatting with Teagan, Ricky and Kelly and telling them about Pinup Doll Australia and telling them about my idea of a fitness class for charity they were all on board and thought it was a fantastic idea. So Hilltop Fitness have donated the space and Kelly has donated her time, there will also be child minding available which is not usually available at the time of this class.

The class will be held on the Monday the 30th of July from 10:30-11:30am. The cost will be $10 and all of the proceeds will go to RizeUp Australia an organization that directly helps those affected by domestic violence by providing emergency accommodation, furniture, clothing, food vouchers, white goods, toiletries and all the basic necessities survivors need to start their life over. When people leave they leave with nothing so I hope we can make a difference and get fit while doing it.

If you have any questions about the class or my charity please feel free to contact me anytime.

    See you at Hilltop Fitness!

    Miss Cherry La Blaze.
